RECENTLY:
∅Another “Alice Walk…”
This is a unique opportunity, to get to know a little of “Alice’s Derby” due to the presence and involvement of one of the experts on the life of Alice Wheeldon: Chloë Mason…
The walk, on 23rd September, takes approximately 2 hours, and is not strenuous. A degree of fitness is required, however, as there will also be time standing/listening.
The walk commenced at 17.00, from outside the Guildhall, Derby Market Place, ended at the Blue Plaque (in Normanton) dedicated to Alice, in May 2013.

There was a book signing event, held at Waterstones Bookshop, Derby, 16.00 hrs.
Sheila Rowbotham Chloë Mason Sheila Rowbotham (above), signed copies of her book:
“The Friends of Alice Wheeldon”
Chloë Mason, great-granddaughter of Alice Wheeldon who is visiting the UK, from Australia, was present and also signed the book.
Later that evening evening at 19.00 hrs, at The Old Bell Inn, Sadler Gate, Derby, Sheila and Chloë there was a talk covering various contemporary issues, including an update on the "Clear the names" campaign, which still gathers momentum.
